Who:
We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking volunteers who:
- Want to make a tangible difference defragmenting our prairie ecosystem
- Are active and can walk several miles, while carrying 10-30 pound loads
What:
Remove barbed wire fence on the prairie to support wildlife migration and create less fragmented lands. This work could include:
- Pulling out fence posts and rolling up wire
- Walking fence line and carrying tools
- Exploring and learning about the prairie biome
Dinners and lodging (campground or rooms at the Enrico Education and Science Center on the Sun Prairie property) will be provided.
Where:
Sun Prairie and/or White Rock units in northeastern Montana.
When:
One 5-day volunteer trip, taking place June 23rd – 27th (Monday – Friday).
- June 23rd: Arrival
- June 24th – 26th: Fieldwork
- June 27th: Departure
One 4-day volunteer trip, taking place July 16th – 19th (Wednesday – Saturday).
- July 16th: Arrival
- July 17th & 18th: Fieldwork
- July 19th: Departure
